One of the oldest herding breeds, the Cardigan Welsh Corgi is known for their large ears, stout, low bodies, and long brush tail. On average, the Welsh Corgi Cardigan stands between 10.5 and 13 inches tall and weighs between 25 and 38 pounds.

Welsh Corgis have an alert, friendly expression and large, wide-set eyes. Their weather-resistant double coat is medium-length and dense. It can be all shades of red, sable, and brindle, black, and blue merle, and white marks are common throughout the body. The Cardigan Welsh Corgi’s coat is notable because it’s slightly thicker on the backs of the thighs, forming “pants.”
