Note: Always check first with a shelter to insure that it is currently "No-Kill". The status of a given shelter or rescue group is subject to change without notice. Some of these shelters DO practice euthansia when it is medically indicated or they may refer an aggressive animal to animal control. In general, the "No-Kill" philosophy refers to finding an alternative to euthanasia as a means of controlling the pet population for otherwise healthy animals. Please contact TheDogPack@DogPack.com if you have additional information about new shelters or a change in shelter status. If you wish to find a new home for an animal, please read our page on "Finding a New Home for Your Pet". |
