Below is information about our delivery service in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Because shipping heavy items such as pet food can be very expensive, we offer the cost effective alternative of free home delivery with a minimum $20 order for our local customers. How do I place a DFW Home Delivery Order? The easiest way to do this is to order on-line. Just place your order normally and on the page where you select shipping options, one of the options is DFW Home Delivery ($0). Select that as your shipping option. As long as you are within our D/FW delivery area and have a $20 minimum order, you qualify for free home delivery. Our delivery area map and other questions are shown below. Is there a minimum order amount with D/FW Home Delivery? Yes, the minimum amount of the order must total $20 to qualify for D/FW Home Delivery. Otherwise, it will probably be more cost effective for you to chose the postal service or UPS for your shipping option. What is your free DFW delivery area? The chart below indicates our free delivery areas. When will my order be delivered? We deliver on Wednesday through Saturday, from Noon to 8 PM. It usually takes all morning to pull and load the orders, which is why we don't start deliveries until Noon. Your delivery day will depend on your location. Please see the chart below for delivery days. We must receive your order at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled delivery day. Because of factors such as order locations, route optimization, traffic, volume of orders, and loading time, we are unable to give you a specific delivery time. No, you do not have to be home for delivery. For non-frozen items, we leave your order on your doorstep or at the apartment office. However, if your order is frozen and you are not at home, please leave out a cooler with ice or purchase one of our coolers with dry ice. Most people already have a cooler, so it's most cost effective to leave that out if you won't be home. Or, just spend the one time expense of buying a cooler from us. Ours are better insulated, less expensive, and larger than the ones you'll see in the grocery stores. If you purchase dry ice from us, your order will stay frozen for 6 to 7 hours. If you leave your own ice in a cooler, please be aware that with our Texas summers, your order will only stay frozen for a few hours. If you put a number you can be reached at on your order, we will have our driver call to let you know when your order was delivered, so you can arrange to be home within a few hours of delivery to place it in the freezer. What if I need delivery on a day other than the day for my area? If you need delivery on a day when we are not scheduled to deliver to your area, we can usually deliver on that day for an additional $5 fee. If we made a mistake or some of your items were backordered, we will deliver the forgotten/backordered items on a non-delivery day at no extra charge. When do I have to place my order so that I receive it on the delivery day for my area? Because it takes time to plan a route and load the delivery van with the various orders, you will need to place your order at least 24 hours prior to the delivery day for your area. See our chart above to find out your delivery day. Can I come pick up my order? Because we operate out of a warehouse not set up for retail traffic, we only offer home delivery at this time. If you need to pick up your order, our competitors Canine Commissary and Pet Supplies Plus offer some of the same items.
